I have been wearing this outfit nonstop and it’s all one sale!
It’s that time again, the Shopbop SALE! This is the best one because it is 20% off your purchase under $500 and 25% off over $500. So no matter how much you spend you will save 20%…SCORE!! Just don’t get too excited and forget to enter the code “EVENT18” when checking out!
Sales like this are the best time to buy things/brands that don’t normally go on sale.
Do you own anything from Faithful the Brand? I have one top and want all of their dresses and am determined to get one this season!
Shoes, a serious item that you have to buy full price or else they are out of season. Vince shoes are more expensive but the quality/comfort is amazing and never disappoint! I always go to Dolce Vita and Sam Edelman for trendier options at a lower cost!
As you know I live in Houston, was raised in Houston and am so happy to be back in this amazing vibrant city.
This past week/weekend have been tough, even if you weren’t affected directly it is saddening to see your friends struggle and your city under water. Seeing places you drive on daily bases underwater is the creepiest thing and brought me to tears.
There is a lot of talk about organizations not giving all of the donations they receive to the relief. And people wanting to help from afar!
The Houston SPCA is an amazing place that my family has been adopting dogs from for the past 25 years.
And if you want to be part of the ever rising goal JJ. Watt keeps surpassing you can donate to that here.
I have always loved Paperless Post for anything from a last minute gathering to an actual party that planning went into haha. Whether that is a Baby Shower, Birthday Party, random girls night or of course a last minute Holiday Party!! I am still personally debating if I want to throw a last minute Hanukkah Party, it’s kind of hard this year because the first night is also Christmas Eve. So IF it happens it’ll be the week between that and NYE and you bet I’ll be texting out a Paperless Post invite. A few years ago I did a post on how I make my latkes and I highly suggest you get your hands on some! TBH the Holidays are a little quiet around here until right before NYE when my family comes and i’ll get to wear something sparkly!
Are you throwing any parties this year?

I had the honor of attending Chrisy Wright’s Boutique Business conference this past weekend and man did I learn a lot. Between Christy and Donald Miller I came home with not only a list of things to work on but words of encouragement to remind myself of on a daily basis.
FAILURE IS UNDEFINED & SUBJECTIVE
FAILURE ESTABLISHES THE LIMITS IN YOUR LIFE
FEAR IS NOT A SIGN YOU SHOULDN’T DO SOMETHING
FEAR MEANS YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING NEW
FEAR IS GONE ONCE YOU DO SOMETHING ONCE
Don’t forget that ladies-
This summer berry salad has pretty much been my staple meal the past month and I don’t see it going anywhere! It is full of flavor, filling and contains ingredients that aren’t a pain to buy or put together!
What you’ll need:
- Half an Avocado
- Grilled Chicken
- Sliced Strawberries
- Olive Oil if you want
- Almond slice, also optional in my book.
When I was telling my mom about this summer berry salad recipe she got very “well how much of everything”. Which I cannot handle because in my book it is “how every much your heart desires!!!” I’ve recently just been squeezing half a lemon on top because the avocado adds enough of that soft texture to not need much more or any dressing…for me at least! If you need a little more I would throw on some olive oil or my specialty dressing! It is SO easy to bring to work because you don’t have to figure out how to transport dressing when all you need is a lemon!
ALSO after many weeks of making this I have realize that 1.5 bags of spinach (dependent on where you buy your groceries), 1 pack of each berry and 1 thing of feta is the perfect amount to get you a TON of salads! I have been prepping the chicken on Sundays to make it even easier in the mornings.
Besides being kinda festive for 4th of July you should 100% try this out, no one has told me they don’t like it!
